I just found an awesome program that allows me to simply record any sound from the mic, and make reasonably-sized files in the process:

Now the only problem is that Blogger won't allow me to post just an audio file here - only a video file, which requires a whole new production experience...
The Moveee program that I have here turned out to be useless (I needed to time my music to fit the pictures, not the other way around) and I could not make a black empty background.
Windows Movie Maker was decent, as long as I don't need to add karaoke-style subtitles (that was a chore with an awkward outcome!).
After all the trouble with the MovieMaker, I am wondering if it would be easier just to upload the audio files to someplace online, like the Help menu suggested...
Anyhow, here is my first test with the MovieMaker. Wow! My first real video...
