Like an ocean, night has spilled from the dusk till down,
And I enter these waters every day.
It is so hard to be crossing them all alone.

If you wish, we can share our loneliness,
In the hour, when the stars chase the new moon's crest.
Coming back to me are echos of my song
From the dark and empty space that's beyond my view,
And I wish you'd know how much I long
All this loneliness to share one day with you.

In the end, I know, that sadness will retreat
And the sea of night will part underneath our feet.
Tears will dry away with the morning dew,
I will fly into your hands like a sleepless star.
I believe that you are wishing for this too,
To divide this loneliness, even from afar.
